WaldenJNR was formed on the 28th March 2009 when 13 children attended the first training session. Since then the juniors has grown rapidly to 200 members spread over five training groups making us one of the largest junior triathlon clubs in the country.
Our philosophy is one of enabling the children to participate in the multi-discipline sport of triathlon in a fun and social environment learning through play, where they can form friendship groups outside of their schools with sport as a shared interest. We are a fully inclusive club.
The website is set up to provide you with as much helpful information about the club as possible. However, our main form of communication to our members is through a newsletter emailed to all members, our twitter account @walden_jnr and closed Facebook Community Page.
We primarily train during school term time at our main training venue Carver Barracks, Wimbish just outside Saffron Walden on Saturday Mornings. This training venue provides great facilities for Cycling and Running. For swimming we train at Lord Butler Leisure Center on Sunday afternoons and then Wednesday evenings for our older children.
If you are interested in joining the club there are details of how you can do this on the membership page of the website. If you have any other queries about the club please do not hesitate to contact the Junior Head Coach - Jo Harris at headcoach@waldenjnr.co.uk
