Geoff Jones

(Level 2 Triathlon)

Geoff coached the Juniors at Cambridge Tri Club for a number of years prior to setting up WaldenJNR in 2009. In 2010 Geoff was named British Triathlon’s National Children’s Coach of the Year and in 2014 Eastern Regional Coach of the Year.  Geoff was head coach until December 2018 and is still actively supporting the club in role of Club Secretary and helping the coacing team.

He has represented Great Britain at five Age Group World Championships at Olympic distance in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and   at the London World Championships in 2013. Prior to this he was a track runner competing at 800m and 1500m. He has worked in business for over 20 years as a Chartered Accountant, and for 7 years as a Maths Teacher. He now runs his own Maths Tuition Business in Saffron Walden.
